Repair planning guide
Preparing a British Columbia repair request
Choose the actual truck location rather than the destination of the load. The Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Interior are separate starting points for a provider; “near Vancouver” is not enough for a truck parked farther along the route. Include the municipality, highway or street, direction and nearest marked exit.
Access, timing and road information
For a yard visit, give the vehicle entrance rather than only the office address. For a trip between regions, ask the provider to confirm travel and parts access before you make a delivery promise. Check DriveBC for current road information; the marketplace does not supply a live road-closure feed.
Open DriveBC for the latest information. A road-information service is separate from TrukN and does not confirm mechanic availability.

Urgent breakdown
Explain what happened, whether the truck is safely parked and whether people or traffic are at risk. Contact emergency services for immediate danger. A request remains awaiting match until an eligible provider accepts; do not treat the form confirmation as an arrival commitment.
Scheduled yard work
Provide the preferred date, access hours and the unit’s planned location. Identify any restrictions on work at the site. The provider confirms the scope, parts and schedule; submitting a preferred time does not book an appointment.
Before approving the estimate
- Is travel or a call-out minimum included, and is diagnostic time separate?
- Which parts and labour are included in the written estimate?
- Who can approve additional work if the assessment changes?
- What arrival window has the provider actually confirmed?
- What completion record and provider warranty terms will be supplied?
